Era AI ("we", "our", "the app") is a time-travel chat app that lets you converse with AI characters from different historical eras. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
We use this information to generate replies and images, store conversations, collect feedback about replies, provide purchased features, apply usage limits, and operate and troubleshoot the app. Avoid sending confidential or sensitive personal information in chats or image prompts.
We send your messages and recent conversation history, together with instructions for the selected era, to OpenAI through Replit's AI integration to generate replies. For image generation, we send the image prompt and era-specific style instructions. These providers process the content to return AI text or images. Their handling of data is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies; this policy does not promise a particular provider retention period or training restriction.
The mobile app stores its random device identifier, progression and chat-start counts locally. It also keeps timestamps of attempts to request an App Store review so it can limit how often it asks. Those review-attempt timestamps are not sent to our server. They do not tell us whether Apple displayed a prompt or whether you submitted a rating or review. Apple handles any App Store rating or review you choose to submit.
We use Replit to host the service and route AI requests, OpenAI for AI processing, and RevenueCat and Apple for purchases and subscriptions. See the privacy policies of Replit, OpenAI, RevenueCat, and Apple.
The current app's ad breaks are in-app promotional screens, not ads delivered by a third-party advertising SDK. We do not sell chat messages or share them for third-party advertising, and the current app does not use a third-party ad-tracking SDK.
Conversations, messages, and feedback are stored on our servers. We do not currently set a fixed automatic deletion period for these records. Usage counters have a best-effort cleanup process for records last updated more than two days ago; this is not a guaranteed deletion deadline.
Where a conversation-delete control is available, it deletes that conversation and its messages from the active database. Feedback is stored separately and is not removed by deleting a conversation. Uninstalling the app or clearing local app data does not delete server-side chats, feedback, usage records, or records held by our service providers, and does not cancel a subscription.
Contact us through our support page with privacy or deletion questions. We do not promise that every record can be identified or deleted, or that contacting support automatically deletes data. Manage or cancel an iOS subscription in your Apple account settings.
Era AI is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
